 Sawn-off shotguns

What the title says ^



Shotguns. Two of 'em. One in each hand.

  • Fire rate as fast as you can click.
  • As much spread like an AA12 (not very much)
  • Damage just a little less than the pump-action shotgun.
  • 2 or 4 shots before reload.


I choose this particular model simply because it is sexy, and we don't have that style of double-barrel in KF right now.

Thoughts?

and it can be done, just talk to people in the steam group and ask for some help.

also, dont add spaces in between ur IMG code and the URL, or it wont work, so i fixed ur post.

Isn't the side-by-side shotgun kind of sawn off in KF? I don't really see what benefits and under-over would have over that.

Well, In my opinion the double-barrel may as well be a blunderbuss for its function, what with that massive blast. The idea of sawn-offs, though, they would be dual-wielded. It's not a case of them being double-barreled, but more down to how they can be used in each hand. The limited ammo in these shotguns will be a "negative" while the fire rate and cheaper price will be a "positive." Just think about the balance. Razz

If I might add:
This would be a great idea, implementing some great firepower, but with short clip.
The spread, though, should worse than the one of the DBShotgun. The AA12 is actually the most accurate of the shoutguns, so that's kinda part of it's charm.
This would be excellent as a first-waves weapon, or a secundary for any good player at the latest waves.

Just sayin' =)

Well, in my personal opinion, i have to disagree, i think this is kinda corny, way too much MW2, the reload animations would be hard as hell to make, and the chances of the weapons looking and feeling weirdo in hand are big, i love shotguns but there seems to be having too much of them for Support Specialist.

I would rather use the same model and turn it into a large caliber rifle, with very expensive ammo and heavy to carry.

Overpowered? Not IF you do it correctly, the reload will be slow, the amount of ammo highly limited due to the large size of the ammo itself like in real life, not to mention the price, and no it would be no gain against FP or Scrakes since no matter how powerful it is its still a slow shooter (still rather use AA12) and it doesn't have the very needed headshot bonus of the Sharpshooter perk, i would love to have something like this, because Support can give support only at close ranges, this would allow him to help a bit to kill that mad Husk far away in the map behind some enemies, since it would have great penetration abilities.

It allready has a Hunting shotgun, now give it a Hunting rifle! (you can use the model you posted instead of the below with side by side barrels)


But if you dont agree with the idea, well thats ok, go along with what you planned i have nothing against it, i might create my own thread for this idea and my own model.

Honestly, no i dont think it would turn it into a Sharpshooter, its just a high power rifle, not a sniper rifle, it would not have any special aim just the iron sight, neither would have such accuracy, and without the headshot bonus, any level 1 or 2 sharpshooter with the lever action Rifle or Handcannon would out-damage or at least equal it, and be waaay more efficient than this guy with this clunky slow firing with large recoil, yet ammo limited rifle.

And i think its MW2 because its the most recent gaming have dual weldable sawn off shotguns lol, but yeah its still even more Max Payne'ish.

Like i said, i can sort the balance for you if you want get into minor details, it would be a high power rifle but dude its just not that high powered lol, imagine an Xbow in the hands of a medic, without the Sharp bonus and such, it still big huge penetration doesnt it? This would have half of that, but level 0 xbow even for Gorefast you need at least 2 shots to kill them unless its a headshot, this would kill instead (yet being more expensive, weapon and ammo). But if you dont like the idea to add this to Support, then suggest another perk, even thought id like to see it in Support, but i love this weapon conception and im quite sure it will be my first beta.
